As THE BOLLYWOOD VIOLINIST AND BEYOND, I take your event to another level of beauty and glamour. From the ceremony to the reception, I perform for every special moment, with a signature of creating truly exceptional receptions/walimas with the magic of my music. The violin need not be thought of as simply an extra luxury at your wedding. With high-quality soundtracks emanating from my stereo-system, mixed with the sound of my violin, wirelessly-mic'd for mobility, I create a full concert-sound and cover your musical requirements on a large scale. My repertoire includes all eras of Bollywood, American Top 40, and many other hits from around the world. (Please note, I am also available for proposals, engagements, intimate celebrations, and corporate events.)
Pre-ceremony and Ceremony
Your ceremony is a sacred event, and I approach it with respect and love. I set the stage for your ceremony with soothing melodies before the ceremony, after which I would perform custom-arranged songs to announce the arrival of the baraat and the groom, the bride, and relatives. I also perform Indian classical during the ceremony to accompany mantra recitation. The ceremony-end (vidaai/rukhsati) will also receive special melodies.
Cocktail Hour/ Intimate Celebrations
I forge the mood and vibe of your intimate celebration, and also set the stage for the party to come during the reception!
Grand Receptions /Walimas
Crafting beautiful receptions/walimas has become my signature speciality. The flow of the night is often as such: I perform your grand entrance, after which I will perform your first dance. I then present a featured performance to enchant all your guests. I proceed to make all special moments, such as cake-cutting, photo-taking, and ring exchange, even more precious with my music. I take pride in custom-arranging melodies of your choosing that resonate with your love or life story. My desire is to weave my music, and by extension, my being, into the emotional fabric of your special night, and for both to take a place in the hearts of you and all your guests.
Improv-Show with the DJ
When the dance-floor opens, the DJ chooses his/her beats and tunes, and I improv and jam note to note, creating a spontaneous vibe, and a modern sound with a classical touch...a perfect way to close the night. Everyone loves this unexpected segment!
Imagine your event with that extra touch of glamour with live Bollywood music on the violin. I play everything from evergreen melodies of yesteryears up to modern masala. I also love to perform American hits and other songs from around the world.
